Firefighters douse flames as rescue operations get under way

Footage shows firefighters dousing flames after an Air India plane crashed shortly after take-off in Ahmedabad, western India.

The flight, carrying 242 people, was bound for London Gatwick.

There were 169 Indian nationals on the flight, as well as 53 Britons, one Canadian national and seven Portuguese nationals, Air India has said.
